No ?Xbox? for Secretary of Education?s Kids

While U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan (pictured) is a supporter of involving technology in schooling, he doesn’t appear to consider videogame consoles as a means to learn anything, demonstrating zero inclination to allow his six and eight year old kids to have a game machine at home.In a New York Times interview conducted with the education czar (thanks Seattle Weekly), Duncan was asked how he would respond if his kids asked him for an Xbox. He replied that he was “Not a fan,” and that his answer to his kids would be, “No, absolutely not.”In this case, it appears the interviewee is simply using the term Xbox as a broad amalgamation of all videogame consoles, so fanboys of various systems should take a breath.
