One of the best showcases of what the iPhone and iPod touch are actually capable of has to be Firemint's Real Racing, and it's about to get even better with Game Center powered, four-way multiplayer. Apple talked about matchmaking being an integral part of the Game Center service, and Real Racing could be an excellent illustration of what's possible (other than achievements).
What's more, Firemint's opening up its beta testing to all current players of Real Racing. All you have to do is be over 18, head over to the Firemint beta sign-up, and cross your fingers. You could be thrashing it out with your Game Center friends in next to no time. Just be sure to be nice to us if you come across us online -- we're not all that coordinated with accelerometer-based racing.
